Samsung 20S 18650...hardest hitting 18650 right now, beats HB6 and VTC6A

"This is a great performing cell. Until now the only 30A 18650’s we had were the 1500mAh LG HB2/4/6. The Samsung 20S not only has increased capacity over those cells but it performs MUCH better too, giving us a lot more vaping time at high current levels.

It hits harder than any other 18650 down to about 3.3V and appears to have a true 30A rating.

Musterzellen...also keine Serienproduktion.

20A discharge.
From 3.65V and below, 24S has better performance due to the combination of mAh - Amps.

30A discharge.
Up to 3.45V the performance of 20S3 is better.

But 30A is the highest battery performance.
In my opinion we do not have to discharge the batteries with the higher intensity.

In a battery, in my personal view, we should look at the total battery performance from the beginning of the discharge to the end.
Having better performance at the beginning and after a point and then having a poor performance, I do not consider it a good performance.

When the batteries are charged, they are almost all good.
Greater importance is what performance has a battery when it is at low charge levels.

There, a battery with many Amperes and as much capacity as possible will make a difference.

But this is my personal point of view.

In the way I use the batteries, I've seen a lifetime of many years.
I have a Samsung 25R battery since 2013 that still works.

Always on a personal level, 20A batteries, discharge them with less than 15A.
The top is somewhere in 12A.
So I have the battery to yield the maximum possible as a duration with a voltage drop to a level that is able to give me enough Watts as a result without being heated.

But the use I make is somewhat different with the way the batteries are used today.
In mech mod I will not use very coarse wires.
Up to 0.35mm.
With thin wire, the current that can discharge a battery in mech mod is enough to heat the wire enough and so I do not need to get very low Ohms to get performance.

If I want to get to many Watts, there is a much simpler way ...
It's called an electronic device.

With two batteries in a row or parallel, it's much easier to get a 30A equivalent without any security or performance issue.

A Li-Ion IMR or NMC 18650 battery with a capacity of 20A, is capable of delivering 50 Watts from 4.20 to 3.40 Volts.
With a capacity of 25 - 30A ..., we will see a little better performance.
(depends also on the efficiency of the board but almost all the same performance they have ... Almost ...)

With more Watts in demand, we will see a failure to perform at higher levels of charge.
So if I need 100 watts or just more than 50 watts, it's best to use two batteries.

This is my personal opinion.
But this does not negate the opinions and experiences of others ...

Wird dazu auch noch ein Test von Dir kommen Stephan?
